Many of us didn’t have any clue until Deadpool was portrayed by Ryan Reynolds in 2009 “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”.
Who is “Deadpool”?
A fictional antihero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Fabian Nicieza and artist/writer Rob Liefeld, the character first appeared in The New Mutants #98 (February 1991). Deadpool was originally depicted as a super villain when he made his first appearance in The New Mutants and later in issues of X-Force, but has since evolved into the role of an antihero.
Deadpool is a disfigured and mentally unstable mercenary with the superhuman ability of an accelerated healing factor. He is known as the “Merc with a Mouth” because of his talkative nature and tendency to break the fourth wall, which is used by writers to humorous effect.
Here are two brand-new instagram image Posted by Deadpool actor Ryan Renolds (his first instagram photo by the way), assuring onlookers that Deadpool stuck the death defying stunt’s landing; and by Mario Lopez who has uploaded a new photo to Instagram showing yet another encounter with Reynolds, presumably on the film’s set. It looks like Deadpool is about the do yet more violence to “Slater.”
Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
Deadpool hits theaters on February 12, 2016.
